Horror Movies I just watched

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are doing okay.

I love horror movies. You must be all sick of hearing me talk about them but I just have to share. Whilst some of them are very good, most suck and do not deserve your time.

So let me help you out and show you the movies I’ve watched and liked since my last horror movie related post.

The Wailing

This movie is incredible and it is now available on Netflix. It is long (around 2h30 mins) but it builds the tension so beautifully that you will want to know what’s up in this village.

PS: I think the ending will blow your mind.

The Void

Great main character, good monster thingy but if you do not like gory and graphic horror movies, I would save this one for later.

This movie is completely different from the Wailing and will make you question everything you know about the world you live in.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe

This movie was the creepiest of them all for me just because I have always been fascinated with the idea of witches, dark magic, and all that good stuff.

It definitely kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time AND, I even closed my eyes during one scene (I honestly haven’t done it in ages).

Don’t knock twice

The beginning was hard to get into for me. Long and a bit meh but this movie is definitely interesting. It is a mix between Insidious, Lights Out and a couple of scenes were inspired by classic horror movies.

The acting was good, nice plot twist at the end, however, the story is a big deja vu for me. Still good but not very original.

Beyond the gates

A fucked up Jumanji with Stranger Things soundtrack.

Blood Punch

The funniest to me. Not really a horror movie. Definitely a horrific situation to be in for the characters but as a viewer, you have a great time.

100% recommend!

Wanna add to the list?

  1. I just watched Hostel for the first time ever. – I know it’s old news, but anyway, it was terrifying! That scene where that chick has her eye cut out, whoa! Looking forward to checking the Wailing out. I love horror movies, but you are correct, most aren’t worth watching.

  2. i’m with you, I love a good horror movie! My husband, not so much… he’s more Shrek/Disney lol so I try to pick ones to make him scream like a girl… with a little help on my part of course!

      • It is not difficult with Chris even though you would think he would expect it by now lol. You and I both know the music is generally a dead giveaway so I make sure to have something handy to throw at him or even just poke him in the side at the most opportune moments!
