10 Totally achievable goals – 2017

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all doing alright. I was looking for an app for the gym, when I thought, what is so easy to do and easy to track? What is easily achievable for me this year? You are welcome to add on to the list, make your own and tag me! Drink more water This one must be in everyone list every year but this time I feel like I can stick with it. I go to the gym more often and easily down 1L whilst exercising. I have also noticed that since I stopped drinking sodas, and drink alcohol every two weeks/three weeks, I naturally reach for water. Save money for my future self 23 years old is still young but I am already feeling a ton of pressure. I have started to think more and more about the future. And we all know that our future can be compromised if we lack money to do what we want. Take the time to Plan a proper vacation  Since I have been in …

A week on Huel – Can I live off liquid for a week ?

Hi Everyone, Today is Monday and you know what that means. Well, nothing really since I upload so randomly.  But I hope you all had a great weekend. I thought that today I would do something different as I have some time to write, do some research and chill at home. Do you remember my first post about vegan snacks ? I quickly mentioned Huel. Now keep in mind that the post was written over a month ago. I had just discovered Huel and was definitely obsessed with how convenient it was. I was having one Huel a day maybe for breakfast with fruits or as a post-workout snack. I never really tried it as a “real” meal replacement. Since then, I have not been using it. Mostly because I have been away. I opened my cupboards this morning and saw that I had half a bag left and a chocolate flavor sachet. Awesome. So I guess this week is the week. I will be having Huel for breakfast – lunch and diner. For five days. Five days only, …

What I eat in a day #2 – Vegetarian Recipes

Happy 14th of July guys ! First of all, I would like to thank everyone who decided to click on my tiny follow button. Today is my blog one month anniversary and it warms my heart to have so many beautiful people reading it. Whilst I do not have a lot of followers, I do appreciate it when someone decides to hear me out so thanks again for everything. Today was a slow day for me. I stayed home again and spent some quality time with my family. I will be going back to London very soon and not looking forward to it. I love my friends, where I live & the people in general but after the whole Brexit thing, I might have to think twice before spending my life over there. Breakfast was light since I woke up around 10 am. I had a full glass of homemade orange juice and two apples. I decided to spend the rest of my morning outside reading. I recently went to Bath ( Thermae Bath Spa is …

A week without : I gave up coffee for a week

Being French with an Italian father, drinking coffee is a ritual. Coffee is so much a part of my culture that I never questioned drinking it. And by coffee I do not mean Starbucks. I mean real black Italian coffee or plain black Americano. Without sugar, milk or cream. When I moved to London, I had to switch from the fancy coffee machine we have at home to my beloved kettle and favorite instant coffee brand. Sad, I know. Because making instant coffee is 5 times quicker, I would say that I went from drinking 1 – 2 cups a day to 4 – 5 a day. I also have a busier life now and will often drink coffee before I grab lunch to keep me going. Unhealthy, I know. So I decided to challenge myself. I spent a week, from Friday to Friday without a drop of coffee. RULES : No coffee no matter what. I had to document my days to give an honest review. I decided to do it during a busy week which meant going out, walking …

How to mix & apply Henna for Hair ( with Pictures )

Hello Beautiful people, It was very hot in Paris yesterday so my sister and I decided to treat ourselves to a nice Henna session. I tried to document the messy process as much as possible for you and hope this would help if you ever decide to give Henna a try. The pictures were all taken in the afternoon, in broad day light and without a flash or a special camera. I tried to make the process as simple as possible because I know how overwhelming the whole thing can be when you are just starting. I usually use coconut oil & castor oil, essential oil, sometimes water infused with black tea but this time, I kept it easy and quick. I used a mix of two hennas, organic hibiscus powder and boiling water. Nothing less, nothing more, just the basic beginner pack. Henna can leave stains on your skin and clothes so be careful. If you plan on doing your Henna, make sure you have a bunch of old towels by your side, do it in …

How to loosen your curls naturally

It took me a long time to appreciate my hair and especially my curls. Growing up, I was surrounded by straight hair and thought that it was the female ideal ( thank you stupid fashion magazines ). I thought that my hair was ugly and that I could never do anything with it. It was always too thick or too curly, too black, too frizzy. The list goes on. If you do not know what my hair looks like, you can have a look at my Eyeem account. You can see my hair evolution and the change of color with Henna. Whilst I do love my curls now and appreciate how beautiful curly hair is,  I still use some of my 100% natural tips and tricks to loosen my curls from time to time. It is more about changing my style rather than trying to fix what I  used to consider a flaw. Just for the record, my hair type was a 3B when I was little and is now between 3A – 2C. I will include a …

5 Oils for Healthy Hair

The best decision you will make is to ditch chemicals and go organic.  The best way for me to do so, without giving up on my beauty routine, was to switch my drugstore beauty products for  unrefined oils and butters. What I like about oils and natural butters is that you can mix them with your shampoos, your makeup, your homemade facial masks and beauty recipes.. The ones I use are 100% natural and a great investment if you are on a tight budget like me. I do use the 5 oils that I have listed down below.  I mix them with a natural shampoo base or my henna or use them when I want to detangle my curly hair or prevent and fight summer dryness. I have talked about it before but I buy all my oils and hair products online on Aromazone or Amazon mostly. Castor Oil Perfect to strengthen your hair naturally, it also increases hair and eyelashes growth. A little goes a long way and a 100 ml will last a long time. I do not use …
